Shell Parka 01 began as a sketch on the back of a train ticket. Eighteen months, six toiles and one very patient pattern cutter later, it went into production.
The toile phase
We cut the first versions in unbleached calico, then wore them on bikes, in rain, and on overnight flights. Every wrinkle told us something.
Four hundred hours is not a lot when you want something to last forty years.
Taped, bonded, finished
The final shell carries 212 centimeters of taped seams and a hood engineered to move with the head, not against it.
